HiThy, First off al, there are no stupid questions, the only thing is how familair are you with what... The manual is on the next link CPU 317F-2 DP and also in the handbook Safety Engineering in SIMATIC S7the CPU 317F 2 DP is not easy to find, the best is you look in the handbook of the CPUs and if you have any questions about the Failsafe part look then in the Safety book. The MMC {Micro Memory Card} is the load memory, when the CPU starts then it copies it to the work-memory where the program is working. When power off the CPU then the actual data for the datablocks is saved in the MMC. |
I hope that the answer will help, if you have still questions, don't hesitate to ask me. |

Dear Thy, You are right, there is no CPU 317F-2DP manual, there is however a manual which describes the CPU 317-2DP (the normal brother of the F-CPU). You may find it in the handbook CPU 31xC and CPU 31x, Technical Specifications. See 2.2.2 Operating and display elements: CPU 317-2 DP which is starting on page 2-7. The extra information to a F-CPU is given in the product information of several CPUs. |
I hope that the answer will help, if you have still questions, don't hesitate to ask me. |
