How are the IP-settings of your CPU?

Are you sure, that the IP Address in hardware configuration is the same as the IP Address in CPU?

Go to PLC -> Edit Ethernet node and scan the network to be sure the IP Address is the same.

I can connect to PLC online since accessible nodes, since the eprom but not since the program.

Got the same problem here on a newly installed system.

Do you need to have a network cable plugged into the system or can you run a 840Di SL without networking ?

Got the same connection problem with a CP Card, the issue was due to a duplicated MPI address in the network. 

We didn't realice before because the HW of the PLC was downloaded from a separated backup where no validation was done automatically against the other network nodes, so CP card for some reason has an MPI address and in my case this address was duplicated with a MPI interface of other CPU in the network which by the way communicated ok with other PLCs using MPI interface.

The only afectation is that i was not able to connect the PLC via any of the IP address of the CP cards.
