Hello, I have a problem with CPU 1518-4 PN/DP (6ES7 518-4AP00-0AB0) V2.6. PLC has been working properly for 1 year. For about 2 months, there has been a problem with the PLC switching to RUN mode after turning on the power. In Startup option "Warm restart - Operating mode before POWER OFF" is selected. Even though the PLC was in RUN before turning off the power, it remains in STOP after turning the power on. There is no specific information in the diagnostic buffer (file attached).
- 100 - CPU changes from RUN to NOPOWER mode - 3/7/2024 7:06:31.197 AM - 99 - CPU changes from NOPOWER to STOP (initialization) mode - 1/1/2012 1:00:00.391 AM – here you can already see that the date has been reset, so the PLC will definitely stay in STOP mode - 98 - CPU changes from STOP (initialization) to STOP mode - 1/1/2012 1:00:05.910 AM
- 315 - CPU changes from RUN to NOPOWER mode - 3/4/2024 8:10:31.695 PM - 314 - CPU changes from NOPOWER to STOP (initialization) mode - 3/5/2024 5:27:01.087 AM - 263 - CPU changes from STARTUP to RUN mode - 3/5/2024 5:28:00.638 AM In a similar period, this controller also began to have a problem with strange values appearing in db. This problem is related to software. We have excluded the possibility of overwriting values from the program logic.
- it was: X#(00 0F 35 32 00 00 32 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00) - it should be: X#(0F 05 35 32 31 35 32 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00)
Could this problem be related to, for example, the memory card? It is only 20% full. Does anybody know how to fix its issue? Thanks for every advice. Have a nice day! AttachmentDiagnostics_20240307.txt (189 Downloads) |

Have you tried upgrading the firmware of the CPU? |
