CPU224XP, communication Ethernet, etc.

juankaerre_ Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi all, I'm studying at university and in my final project I have an application where I have to control a motor via Ethernet, controlling it using Wincc Flexible from my laptop. All stuffs I have are: CPU224XP, CP 243-1 for connect my CPU via Ethernet, a frecuency convertitor SINAMICS G110 C (USS), a trifasic motor, my laptop... I have Step7/Microwin and WinCC Flexible Runtime licenses, so that way I haven't problems I guess. How I have to connect everything to make it work?? I know I have to use Step7 but what i will program to? the G110 C or the PLC? and WinCC Flexible? Should I use estrictly protocol USS? I mean, the operations of the motor will be easy at beggining...start up, differents speeds and inverse running... well, like you could see, I have serious doubts... I hope your answers. Thanks in advance.

Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	Hi, The USS protocol is the best. You can do everything you need and many many more. The question is does your SINAMIC has a USS interface? If so then you need the STEP 7 Micro/WIN intruction library additional MLFB: 6ES7 830-2BC00-0YX0 Most SINAMIC also has digital inputs you can use for your task. In this case you have to configure the SINAMICS. Go to the SINAMICS manual what kind do you have and how to configure it. Regards Helmut

I only have to communicate my laptop via Ethernet with the PLC and controlling a motor... My frecuency inverter is SINAMICS G110 CPM110 USS... which control is easier? USS interface or digital inputs? I could buy STEP 7 Micro/WIN intruction library additional... Using WinCC Flexible I have to change 2 or 3 different speed, reverse running and not much more... something really easy... I want to do it in the easiest way but I don't know wich is it... Thanks in advance Juanka
