Crash when loading to CPU

I think the CPU has been loaded using TIA Portal V11. Uploading from V13 is going to be a problem. Are you trying to upload? If you need to upload, the best is to install TIA Portal V11 in parallel with V13. This can be done and do not need extra licenses. You can get the trial version from Siemens web... it will work. If you are trying to download and not care what is loaded before, you can do a factory reset and load from the V13 software. Please spell it out.. what do you want to do? is it a new PLC / old PLC / new program / adding code. Good luck!! w

The CPU is S7-1212C AC/DC/Rly, code 6ES7 212-1BD30-0XB0, and the firmware is V1.0 Ok, when i download the update and install it, I will let you know, and what HSP should I check for? I am trying to load a new project to the PLC, its an old/used PLC, and i dont really care what is on it right now, i just want to be able to load new projects. How can I do a factory reset? I have attached the screen capture, the only issue is that, it is in Spanish Attachment Sin título.png (101 Downloads)

The standard installation already have the CPU on the list.. no need for extra HSP. The factory reset is found in the (hardware) online tools - online & diagnostics.

Operating system updates for CPU 1212C, COMPACT CPU, AC/DC/Relay Best regards, Hugo A good suggestion but..... The older models can only be updated using an MMC card. Most of us do not have that. If the function is something very basic (a LOGO would do), then stay as is. .. at least such is my opinion - unless you do have an MMC card.

erghurt Posts: 21 Rating: (0)	Hi William_B! Yes, indeed I dont have the Siemens MMC card, so i cant upgrade the hardware´s firmware. And i want to thank you both William_B and HugoD, the factory reset did the trick!, it now works correctly, I am able to load pojects to the CPU. Thank you very much!
