Crash when loading to CPU

erghurt Posts: 21 Rating: (0)	Hi there! I have been using TIA Portal V13 Professional SP1, using only the simulator and i didnt have a single problem, now that i have a real hardware an S7-1212C AC/DC/Rly, i get an error whenever i try to load the project to the CPU. i get this pop up, and then TIA Portal closes. can anyone help me? William_B Posts: 5225 Rating: (1195)	erghurt .. i get an error whenever i try to load the project to the CPU.. * When exactly in the loading process does this error come up? * Which version (including update number) do you have? * Do you have any other Siemens software installed? Try the following.. (20% chance it will work) 1. a) Project > Archive b) Save as type > TIA Project Minimized c) Choose a new project name d) SAVE 2. Close your project 3. Open the project you saved as a minimized format 4. Recompile hardware and then software .. use the rebuild all. 5. Save 6. Establish a link with the PLC and try to download. 7. Report on your findings (please).

erghurt Posts: 21 Rating: (0)	Hi William_B no, i only have update 1 in WinCC because it gave me a common error that was solved with that update. I deleted all the software, and installed again without SP1 because i didnt need the simulator anymore, but still gives me the crash. I will try your final solution, but one question, do i need to install all updates to update 8, or just that one?

Hello erghurt, It is hard for everybody to support someone with not all the updates done. If you do a support request, this will be the first recommandation they will ask you to do. Yes, update to the latest update. EDIT: SP1 solve lot's of stability issues. Best regards, Hugo

erghurt Posts: 21 Rating: (0)	Hey HugoD. Ok, i will download and install the latest update, also, I found out another thing while trying to load the project. In the CPU properties, in the InterfaceProfinet menu, I didnt had a Subnetwork selected, i choose PN/IE_1 and now I can establish online conection but still cant load a project to the CPU, but an icon appears that says the following. "The program of the CPU is incompatible with the Step7 project. Version of the program CPU V11. - > Version of the Step7 project V13." Any thoughts?

If you still have this issue after the updates, maybe you have a hardware support package (HSP) missing. But, let's see after the update. Best regards, Hugo
