Raffy Posts: 209 Rating: (2)	Dear experts, I would like to display the external and internal faults of my modules. Like my DI, DO, AI, AO and CP. What FB or FC should I use to get the diagnostics data or the fault?? or Do I need to use the OBs to get the faults?? Please help Thanks regards, raffy

Also check out this useful information: How can you read out the identification data (the serial number of the MMC, for example) with the SFC 51 in STEP 7 V5.5? How can you get the diagnostics buffer to be displayed in WinCC flexible? SFC51 can do a lot from detect a rack failure,H switchover,reading LED status. For CP, feedback in the blocks (error/status/done) can help plus the online buffer that can be accesses via an ES.Still possible to find more from their diagnostic interrupt or insert/remove interrupt. In PCS 7 drivers tell more about the channels status but for STEP 7 and in case of Decentralized I/Os , I suggest using SFC59 to read data records from modules for all related interrupts(if module is capable of generating any). And numerous OBs to find a dead battery to other error reporting ones, are beneficial for more diagnosis These are options that are available by programming labor and information HERE.Search the online support for more programming tips regarding each issue plus assessing purchasing products when they are really helpful.
