Hi Pyrus, It is normal that the Datasheet of a special version of an HMI panel for a specific company is not made public, I understand that this is due to confidentiality issues. I don't know if the adaptation has been software or hardware, but I understand that Siemens will be able to guide you on the procedure to follow. I understand that as it is such an old version, it is possible that the best option is a migration to a current panel, whether it is Basic, Comfort... as it seems that it will be difficult to find spare parts. Perhaps the best thing to do is to contact Technical Service or Technical Support: Technical Service (select your region): https://www.automation.siemens.com/aspa_app?cntryid=ww&comptcid=e&lang=en Technical Support: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/my/src?lc=en-WW |
If this information really helps, you could use the Rate function. |

Hello Pyrus; First, here is a document that decribes the differences between the SISC (Semens Industry Service Card) versions Prority and Premium. You can se an extract in the attachment below. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/attachments/109767672/Siemens-Industry-ServiceCard.pdf Based on that nformation, and the fact that you are requesting help on a discontinued Siemens product, you would need at least a one-hour Premium card f the suppot you are requesting. Next, it has happened that we were faced with a specially designed product from Siemens, dedicated for a single client, as you are facing now, In my experience, the only answer you will receive is that all documents on that "designer" equipment belongs to TetraPack, and Siemens will not divulge any contractual information to outside parties. So, unless TetraPack volunteers the information you are looking for, you will never learn the intimate design details of this product. You state that Step 7 " actually detected the HMI as the following: C7-635: 6ES7635-2EB01-0AE3".which is a C7-625Touch unit. This product requires Simatic Manager (Step 7 as of v5,2 or higher) to program the controller side, and ProTool v6.0 SP1 to program the HMI section. Protool v6 requires Windows XP, or maybe XP mode on Win7. https://adegis.com/media/asset/29a6705fc30085c7f30dce5dedc18450e24f428ec30375df317a46c77a4b411e.pdf If you have access to both these softwares (there is no longer any download or purchase vailable for Protool) , I can only suggest you start developping the controller and HMI programs on your existing machine. You will not be allowed to use the specially designed TetraPack functions but you shold be able to work with the standard basic functionnalities of the unit. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Hello dChartier! Concerning the HMI, you are again correct. I am indeed using a Step 7 PCS 9.0, and it is communicating perfectly fine with the custom HMI TetraPak model. As for Protool, surprisingly, I didn't need it, as Prosave was able to do the job just as well. It simply understood that it is a C7-635 HMI series and I was able to make a backup (using ProSave v14). In other words, the CPU and HMI programs are backed up! |
