Hello rotsen; It all depends on what you mean by disabling slave notifications on your Profibus network. If your slaves are sending you errors and all you want to do is eliinate the error messages, the only way to do so in Siemens' world is to locate the source of the error and correct it, making the network whole again. You cannot simply bypass the error LEDs and messages. Your best tool to correct the issues in your Profibus slave is to open the CPU's diagnostic buffer and study the fault messages logged there. In general, faults on the Profibus slaves will call either OB 86 (remote rack fault) or OB 122 (I/O access error), you should pay specal attention to messages that refer to these OBs. You can also use the Save As... button on your diagnostc buffer screen, this will generate a text file you can attach here on the forum, so we can help you understand all the messages logged there. On the other hand, if what you want to do is to disconnevt (temporarily) a Profibus slave from the network, for maintenance procedures or for replacenet for example, there exists a Step 7 v5.x system function named SFC 12 "D_ACT_DP" that will remove the slave from the Profibus master's polling list, until you reactivate them (with the same SFC 12). To use SFC 12 with a CPU 410-5H, you need to make sure you have at least v8.20 of the operating system on these CPUs: - Operating system update: CPU410-5H Process Automation (v 8.0 to v8.22) https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109476571 Note for CPU 410-5H: "In stand-alone operation (Single AS), individual DP stations or PN devices can now be activated or deactivated on PROFBUS and PROFINET by means of the system function D_ACT_DP (SFC 12). This function is not available in case of a redundant configuration." More information on SFC 12 (with a link to a sample program): https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/15014658 Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
