Here is example code: :C DB 200 :L KB 0 :T FW200 LOOP:L KB 20 :DO FW200 :T DW 0 :L FW200 :L KB 1 :+F :T FW200 :L FW200 :L KB 50 :<=F :JC =LOOP In the above example, constant 20 is written to DW 0 to 50 of DB 200. The DO instruction has two parts: 1. The index register (FW or DW) values (0 to 255) 2. The actual operation, always specified as "0" or "0.0" S7 has no DO operation but a number ways of performing indexed operations using double data words (DBD or MD) or address registers (AR1 or AR2). Examples: 1. LAR1 P#5.0 L MW [AR1, P#2.0] //is equivalent to L MW 7 2. L 7 T MD 200 L MW[MD 200] //is equivalent to L MW 7 The preferred way is to use AR1 & AR2. In some situations the contents of AR1 and AR2 should be properly saved and restored because “other” block calls have an impact on the address registers.
