DP Masters cannot see any slave modules IM 153-2

scorpio888 Posts: 23 Rating: (0)	OK, the active bus units are installed accordingly. Right now I still have BF2 led blinking, EXT led lit,REDF led likt,at the CPU 414-4H. On the IM153-2 V5.0.12 (firmware version), BF1 led is blinking. What is wrong??? I selected IM153-2 (Profibus add. 3) in HW, and select Module Info. I could not see the module. I cannot see any of my slave DPs. I'm connected to the CPU via Ethernet (CP 443-1). I can only see the CPUs but cannot see any DP slaves. Please advise... Thanks in advance. Best regards, Scorpio888

scorpio888 Posts: 23 Rating: (0)	Phil123, In order to establish the comms with the IMs, make sure that you have connected your Profibus cables to the corrects ports. There are two Profibus connections in front of the CPU. One port is MPI and the other is DP. Now, it depends on how you have configured your setup. If you've configured your system as DP master and slave, the make sure you use the DP connection instead of the MPI connection. This should resolves your issues. I hope this helps. Scorpio888
