Drive ES Missing Package

I do not understand which Drive ES Package is missing from the project! Software installed in Windows 10 OS. Project contains objects of type SIMOREG DC Master and SINAMICS (which open in STARTER without problem). I can not make changes in HWConfig. I have tried Save As with Reorganization. Other project files work fine.

Could you show us the error message you are getting? Normally it should tell you the name of the missing package.

See if the suggested fix (saving with Reorg under a new project name) from the following FAQ can help you:

Thanks for your response. Please find attached screenshot of missing packages and installed software.

After Reorganization, I can change HWConfig of PLC but now all the Profibus Node Addresses are removed except for SINAMICS objects. What does this mean?

If I download this HWConfig to PLC, will it know all the addresses that have been removed after Reorganization?

After reorganization, you are left with Drives ES Simotion packages missing,

To your knowledge, was there an imbeded Simotion application in the original project? Are you still needing it?

The missing Profibus addresses is a new one for me. It could mean that the slave gsd files are missing from your project. Normally, they would be installed in the Projectname,,,/Step7/s7data/gsd directory, if my memory serves me well; but installed gsd do not follow the project when it is transfered on another computer, you might have to re-install each gsd from the original project...

You could start by opening any one of the slaves, give us a screenshot of the configured data exchange modules you can find inside. See if you can attribute the module its original profibus address, and if this information can be saved to the new project.

the main question is "Are this GSD Slaves?"
For me it looks like obkect from Drive ES directly from the HW Catalog an no GSD.

The next thing is that there are some different DRIVE ES Packages available.

You have the DRIVE ES Packages from STARTER/SIMOTION installed but looks that you muss the Packages for DRIVE ES SIMATIC.

If you have the original project you can check the File Step7bas.ver in the project directory.

here all used SW Packages for the project was listed, check which of the packages you don'Ät have installed and install it.

I hope in the attached files you notice that after Reorganization of the project, not only SIMOREG DC MASTER have lost their PB Addresses, ET200M have lost theirs too! Also I could not go to Configuration Tab of SIMOREG in the reorganized project.

I have attached the said file Step7Bas.ver as well. I have dared to move a step further and sort this file into Step7Bas(Sorted).ver  after which it made some sense to me .

Good News!

I had a virtual machine with windows 7 and STEP 7 installed. I installed Drive ES Basic V5.5 SP5 on it and now the project opens without any problem. I can modify HWConfig and other stuff etc. Please find attached installed software on my virtual machine. I notice now there is a package named Dive ES Basic Shared Components.

But I don't understand where the Drive ES packages came from on my original machine? (Picture attached in previous posts). Is it from DriveMonitor or STARTER? And what would be their use if they can not help open my project?
