Encoder Signal Problem

Hi Experts,

we are working in a project where Master drives are being replaced with S120 drives.

We are using CU320-2DP CU. We are using SMC 30 for encoder feedback on terminal. We have made proper connections between encoder and SMC30, still we are unable to receive signals. We have configured motor in speed control with encoder.

The encoders are of AMI make, 10-30VDC and 2048PPR. 

We have configured encoder in 2048PPR, HTL,Unipolar (A,B,Z). Connection as terminal, voltage 24VDC.  Still we are unable to receive signals. These encoders are running with master drives.

I have 4 new SMC all are behaving in same manner..

You either have connection errors or parameter errors.  It is difficult to tell which from your limited information.

I run many 120's with SMC 30's and they work just fine.
