energy meter on profibus

jolter ggg Posts: 49 Rating: (0)	hello I am using cpu 318 -2dp and trying to make the communication from pilot pmac energy meter. plz tell me how to connect pilot energy meter on profibus with cpu . is there any gsd file needed to connect dp salve with cpu and also tell me and what block is to be needed to send and receive data from cpu to dp slave .

jolter ggg Posts: 49 Rating: (0)	actually i want to read the data from energy meter , without using sending and receiving block how can i read it , i have done this task on modbus rtu by using sfc17,sfc16,sfc18 that's why i am a bit confused about it so kindly help me out.

But that kind of module is an optional forpilot pmac735. Please check if you have it installed onpilot pmac735. If yes, for sure with incomed documentation (CD/DVD) there is included that GSD file too. The other way is to contact directly with manufacturer of device and there to ask... If your device is DP configurable, then generally CDs May be provided with DP device. . In CDs GSD files are available. . If you didn't received CD then you may ask distributor to provide it. . After installing GSD files you need to parmeterize your DP Slave. . Normally You may access your DP slave data directly through Peripheral IOs. . But if problem occurs you may try SFCs for data exchange. . "SFC 14 - DPRD_DAT" & "SFC 15 - DPWR-DAT" are used for data exchange with DP slaves. .

This type of energy meter I do not know, have you tried to enter on the site of this instrument?
