ET200ECO PN SUPPLY

I will set up several ET200ECO PN distributed on our installation.

I have a question about the power supply in chain topology.

The 24V power supply come from a electric cabinet to the first ET200ECO PN then this power supply is chain between each ET200ECO PN.

Can I use simple M12/M12 cable (5 G 0,34 mm²) for that use ? (usually use for connect Sensor to ET200ECO PN)

What is the maximum number of ET200ECO PN possible in the chain topology ?

The ET 200eco PN manual advises that the power cables should be Of a diameter of 0,75 mm²

Influence of cable length on the supply voltage

• If you are wiring your configuration, then you must take into account the impact of cable length on the supply voltage to the ET 200eco PN.

Example

A 10-m cable with Ø 0.75 mm² has a resistance of 0.5 Ω, which corresponds with a voltage drop of 2 V at a load of 4 A.

Further information on the cables come from the technical data of the cables, and the table provided for the ET 200eco distributed I/O, see the attachment below.

The ET 200eco PN proposes a voltage distributor to connect longer lines of the ET 200eco.

I will opt for make my own cables with 5G1² and M12 connector to wire for the power supply cable of my ET200ECO.
