Hello medaadi; As presented, your scheme will not work. That is, if you want both CPUs to have read and write access to your ET 200 I/Os. Only one master can "own" the outputs of a DP slave on the bus. Both masters can however read all inputs; one configures the ET 200M modules as a slave, the other can read the inputs by configuring "Direct Data Exchange" with the slave; see the followingh FAQ: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/19081112 If you need complete redundancy of the slave(s) in the network, you will need something like the Comsoft PRS (see http://www.comsoft.de/html/icpe/profibus/switch/prs.htm) or maybe a redundant ET 200M (see the following FAQ: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/16650737). Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
