medaadi Posts: 27 Rating: (0)	Hi experts, to be more competitive, i wish to design a manually redundant S7-300 system combinating with ET200M, like in the attachement, the redundancy will be managed by program, i don't need a performant redundancy, that's why i propose that. it is possible? That is, if you want both CPUs to have read and write access to your ET 200 I/Os. Only one master can "own" the outputs of a DP slave on the bus. Both masters can however read all inputs; one configures the ET 200M modules as a slave, the other can read the inputs by configuring "Direct Data Exchange" with the slave; see the followingh FAQ: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/19081112 If you need complete redundancy of the slave(s) in the network, you will need something like the Comsoft PRS (see http://www.comsoft.de/html/icpe/profibus/switch/prs.htm) or maybe a redundant ET 200M (see the following FAQ: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/16650737).
