Hello HAS62; It was a while ago, but we did have to connect to Kamstrupp Multical meters (not sure I remember the exact model) for an HVAC application. Installing a Modbus RTU module (RS-485) on the meter made things quite easy, especially since your 1SI module supports Modbus RTU as a standard. - On the Kamstrupp side: http://www.icesa.com/img/downloads/Tarjeta%20Modbus%20para%20MC403%20y%20MC603.pdf - On the ET 200S side: 1Si Modbus manual: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/9260793/17929115019 Sample program ET 200S 1SI MODBUS zXX21_11_1SI_MODBUS.zip for STEP 7 (TIA Portal) https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/99742035 Master-Slave Communication with Modbus RTU for S7-300 and ET 200S Systems https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109474714 Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier Edit: Just in case you are a bit rusty with the Modbus protocol and its requirements, and need a brief refreshment, I can suggest this following link to our friend smiffy's Modbus General Description. The initial pdf he wrote has helped many here, and the following discussion also provides many good hints on Modbus: D.C. |

Hello Daniel, On the zip file there is no Step7 v5.x program (only for TIA v11 and TIA v13). After importing everything in TIA v13 and configuring the program for the IM151-8 as a master, when I put the PLC in RUN mode it tries to read and write some addresses from the P area memory, it seems to fail that, then it exceeds the Cycle Time and finally puts the PLC into STOP. I have attached a few screenshots from the Diagnostics Buffer. Do you have any idea as to what is causing this errors? All the best, Horia L.E.: after downloading the library for ET200S and upon opening the zXX21_11_1SI_MODBUS Sample, opening the MOD_1SI STL source and compiling, it gives 39 error without any meaning (eg. ”Syntax error at M.”, or ”Type conflict for U(.”). Double clicking on these error it even moves the cursor to some comments within FC21. Ever happened something similar? If needed, I can provide another screenshot.
