Hello there, Firstly, I am using a 6ES7-512-1SK01-0AB0 Failsafe PLC that is connected to a 6ES7-155-6AU01-0CN0 expansion rack. I am using a high speed input module, 6ES7-131-6BF00-0DA0. It is set up as a counter and channel 0-3 are set up as counting on the rising edge. I am using V17 TIA Portal. There is an incremental encoder connected as shown in the drawing provided. The input addresses for the card and the three encoder inputs i am using are: %I108.0 %I108.1 %I108.2 The pulses are visible when the encoder turns in the PLC so i know the wiring is correct. I am trying to look at the count from the encoder using %ID109. I believe this is correct as the manual states "The user program receives current values and status information from the module via the feedback interface. The figure below shows the address space allocation for the feedback interface in the process image of the inputs." The channel would be 0 so the offset would be 1.
Please help if you have any advice. Kind regards Chris AttachmentHSI Drawing.pdf (522 Downloads) |
