hi, ET200SP is smaller and has an other mounting system on cap-rail. It is a newer system family and its controller are from the S7-1500 series. SIMATIC ET 200SP Distributed I/O system chapter 3.1 ET200M is based on the S7-300 system and has an own mounting rail. Most of the IO-modules of S7-300 are suitable for the decentral ET200M-Interface-Modules. SIMATIC Distributed I/O device ET 200M chapter 1.4 hope this helps, regards, |

Hi
1) you can find both profibus dp and profinet interface module for both et200m and et200sp 2,3) there is various safety signal modules (sil certified) for both system. Et200m uses most of s7-300 modules and it's very common in safety related applicatins utilized by s7-300f/400f/fh cpus. There is also Et200sp fail safe controller based on s7-1500 cpus.
