export trend to PDF files

ecsiberg Advanced Member Joined: 10/25/2005 Last visit: 11/5/2024 Posts: 25 Rating: (1)	WinCC Flex 2005 advanced SP1 +HF7 running on a XP-PRO PC machine single machine monitoring installation trend logging and display of process relavant parameters is implemented the "printscreen" syctem function is already used in a trend view page to send the currently selected area of a process trend to the default printer connected to the PC I need something more: how can I configure a button to AUTOMATICALLY export an area of the trend curve to a PDF file and save it to HD or to USB pen drive? this must be done automatically via a VBscript from the WinCC flex environment without opening any Windows API, because for data protection no access to HD is allowed for the operator Does anybody have a way to implement this? I am not asking for details. At least the best way to get there, if already known, as I expect. thank you in advance for any suggestion

Archive data will be saved in a csv file. This File will be read out from a other excel sheet. In this sheet you can select a area, which you want to show in a "trend view". So this valueyou can savein a pdf file. Maybe this could be helpful. Regards,

Create a tag (tag_1) 2. cerate a subrutin If Tag_1 = False Then Exit Sub PrintScreen Tag_1 = False 3. Tag_1 change call the subrutin In PC: 1. install a PDF tool for example pdf creator 2. choose pdf creator is a default printer 3. set up in the pdf creator automatic file name option Perhaps it's useful Best regards,

ecsiberg Advanced Member Joined: 10/25/2005 Last visit: 11/5/2024 Posts: 25 Rating: (1)	Done with one of my collegues we found a way to have VB class integrated in a WinCC script that can create and format (with some constraints) a PDF file starting from a screen viewcaptured in a .BMP image file in this way we do not open any dialog or windows api and we automatically give the file a name according to current system time and date no PDF printer has to be installed under windows that works fine thanks to all
