Extended stop and retract function in S120

Hello,

If i need to use ERS (Extended stop and retract function in S120) function means what are the hardware and software functions are required ?

Use need to have drives with firmware version =>4.4. This function can be intiated with high end controller or independently in the drives in event of fault.

Please refer attached sheet for more detailed information. (extracts from Siemens manual)

But already i have seen this in drive function manual (its give me little idea about how to activate through software) 

but i have doubts about what type of modules i have use in S120 Family 

at present i'm using CU310 with PM240-2 

is this ok ? or i have to use  book size modules with in-feed module ?

Note: i'm planing to activate this function during power failure condition 

its press machine during power failure feeder axis have to move(or) restore safe position

For CU310 - Versions of technology packages are selected on drive unit.

So in STARTER select Drive object, under this select Configuration - Function extention click on Function modules/tech packages, now on the pop up page, select tab Function modules, on this list click on Extended stoping function. This will activate Extended Stoping & retraction function. Now you can set the desired function as expalined in function manul & set relevant parameters.
