F system (post again)

likevc Posts: 15 Rating: (0)	F system if I choose compile as programme ,It can be passed,But if I choose compile as block type it can not be passed. But if I compile as programme,It would be automaticly delet OB1 OB86 OB87 etc when I modify CFC and recompile. I must Use OB1 OB86 OB87 ,In OB1 I willcall FCs. what Can I do? But I tink there are some software tools not compatible with together STEP 7 or Windows. dmertens Bronze Member Joined: 10/3/2007 Last visit: 3/15/2023 Posts: 188 Rating: (34)	Fail safe systems is a tool that was created with PCS7 in mind, while you can use it in step 7 with the CFC compiler, you will still have to work like PCS7. This means that all the blocks you want to call in your program should be inserted in CFC's. Just place them in the order you would want to call them. Passing parameters between your FB's and FC's if they do not have in and outputs you can link in the way PCS7 doest this may present a small problem but you could create FC's to do this task internally without connections in the CFC's. Your CFC's can then be placed in runtime groups within either OB35 (default) or any other OB, even OB1,OB86 or 87. Just cut the runtime group you want to move and paste it in the OB where you want to call it. To do this, from CFC call the "Runtime Editor". When you do this CFC will create the OB's with your blocks automatically. All blocks not used by the compiler are automatically deleted which is why you had your problem and why this approach will solve your problem. Kind regards, David

dmertens Bronze Member Joined: 10/3/2007 Last visit: 3/15/2023 Posts: 188 Rating: (34)	No you should place the FC's and FB's you want to use in a CFC, not use CFC to create FB's or FC's. When compiling CFC will automatically generate FC's, OB's and instance DB's for the FB's inyour program. The option compile as blocktype lets you create a new FB from a CFC chart. This FBcontains the functions of the chart and has the Chart IO as inputs and outputs, you do not have to use it as you can also create your blocks in STL, FDB,LAD or SCL directly, that's really up to you. But you have to compile your program in CFC in order to get it to work. You could read the PCS7 getting started manual as a guideline. Good luck, David
