FactoryLink V8 and replace CPU 318 by 319

chucho060 Posts: 13 Rating: (0)	hello i need help me with a question i need to change a CPU 6ES7 318.... old cpu!! with a new CPU 319 but my question is , i will have any problem with the comunication between panel with sofware FactoryLink V8 and the new CPU.?? for example in Wincc i can config the CPU 300 for all model of cpu 300 is recognized, but in this case , i dont know if will recognized this cpu el FactoryLink. current link ist ok CPU 318 <----------------->Panel with FactoryLink I don know ???? CPU319 <----------------->Panel with FactoryLink i dont know this sofware of Siemens .

UMENCHO Diamond Member Joined: 3/21/2006 Last visit: 11/1/2024 Posts: 10229 Rating: (1181)	What protocol is using for establish communication with 318? Basically replacement with 319 will work properly. What should you watch out for when migrating from the CPU 318-2 DP to the CPU 319-3 PN/DP?

About FactoryLink I don't have any ideas. Basically you need to make changes in hardware configuration and to replace 318 with 319. And then download the software in CPU. The new CPU and panel should communicate right now. What do you mean with 'transparent'? You can compare both CPUs in the link above. Best regards, Hristo Mihalev
