FB Message configuration error (296:5301)

When I last edited I was able to goto "Special object properties--> Messages", which then opened the window for message editing. Now when I select "Special object properties--> Messages" it comes up with prompt that "selected object FB724 has no messages" (296:5301) !! When I simulate block, WinCC does comes up with already configured messages ! Also some other FB's with messages properties opens perfectly. I have restored the system to my previous date but problem remains. I have also tried opening the block from a month old backup but problem remains. What can be the cause for this? This has following attributes s7_alarm_ui=0; s7_m_c=true Iam able to open and see the configured messages of this block. 2. FB724. THis has following attributes s7_m_c=true NOt able to open the block messages in this block. 3. FB739. This block does not have any attributes set. Iam able to open and see the configured messages of this block. Regards Manmeet

Silent Bob Posts: 836 Rating: (100)	Hi, do the other blocks without S7_alarm_ui have any instance of a messaeging block inside? Check this attribute in the help of SCL... it will tell you, that it is enabeleing the message dialog of PCS 7... why don't you just add the attribute?

Silent Bob Posts: 836 Rating: (100)	Hi, I did check your blocks and found out that the ADDONS block dont have any input like EV_ID wich has the attributes: S7_server:='alarm_archiv' andS7_a_type:=xyz Without at least one parameter on your block having these attributes, you won't be able to edit messages. Furthermore I didn't find the call of the message blocks...

Just to point the fact that if you see the call structure then you can see this this block is indeed calling SFB35. Silent Bob Posts: 836 Rating: (100)	Maybe it was an issue with me opening the block in AWL, it was telling me the network was to big... thats maybe the reason why i couldn't find the block call with the search function... Why there a two instances of ALARM_8p when you don't use them?
