But we will think and discusse about your thoughts and our experience when we are planing the next one. The second point I want to drop into this discussionis published within the Announcement for this campaign: CS Moderator ... we would like to thank our already very active users with this campaign. At the same time we would like to motivate the less active users to actively get involved. ... To get 250 point's isn't very difficult. I don't think so, perhaps I did express myself not clear enough (as long as that's reaction to mine suggestion ). What I ment is something like this - the amount of points awarded for posting part of the challenge would be each day computed such as - *(c p) * (hapm / map), where c would be some constant for "post value" in regard to other activities, such as rating, getting rated, etc., p would be the amount of Posts I did post today, apm would be the Highest Average Posts per day (meaning the highest posts per day any user has) and map** would be My Average Posts per day. This would lead to increasing the value of every post for users that do not post as often as others, some sort of positive discrimination for them. Obviously I didn't make any simulation to see if this is EXACTLY the right scaling, but this was the general idea.

About our pointing system: Maybe we will modify the system a little bit. But some kind of formula as suggested by MM1234 isn´t the right way. The premium campaign is some kind of competition, and there the best one should win. In sports i think you wouldn´t let the fast guys run with some extra weights to make some slower. And here it is the same. We shouldn´t make it harder for the most active users to get points. If someone wants to get in the first places he has to be more active. I know that this means that some users will be always in the first places, but this is because they deserve it. Best regards O_Moderator

Of course on the end always have unhappy "gamers", and for them all the others are guilty - fortunately. This behavior move the progress to go forward... best regards, Hristo Mihalev

I would propose to think about running such a campaign not announced at all. It seems some people start posting everywhere, regardless if they have something meaningfull to contribute or not. Just an idea.

Alredy discussed a lot in this as well as last campaign too.... I want to share something.. I Joined around 2 years ago to get help in one problem. At that time campaign was running (I was not aware) and I was getting very quick replies. After 2-3 months I got idea about campaign and I waited for next campaign and during this time,It became habbit to come here almost dailyand then In last year I was at 6th Position and I am now Silver Member.. Why I am writing this is just because if at that time there wasnt announced campaign then I may have never been came here after resloving that problem.. And I guess so many user will get involved and infact they will start liking this forum much that I am sure this forum will definetely get some new active users and some Experts too after completing this campaign... And regarding Useless Posts, people are being active by any how and thats moreimportant Regards, Devesh Vithani

There are a lot of support forums where no one really cares unless they need something themselves. Because of my positive experience, I decided to hang around and help wherever possible (mainly WinCC) and also a way to keep myself updated about troubles I might run into someday myself. Also by following topics daily, I learn new things often too.

If it was to give premium to the users who are always active, we wouldn't need a premium point. These guys are not here for the premium, and will still be here after the campaign. Mike

Also by following topics daily, I learn new things often too. Vithani is now an expert and SteBo will be a Bronze member soon. Most of us joined to Forum to find a solution for a certain problem. And after a while we get attracted to come again to see what are problems that other members face. And how they will solve it. And then we start to help them solving their problems. May be we faced the same problems one day or read on this problem any where. So, we may recieve Thank you from some members. And some members write a separite message to thank you for solving the problem. I like these message.After a while, you will be an expert. So, What I wanted to say that Siemens Forum is like an academy. And all of members gains from this forums. Thanks a lot for our moderators.
