It is just for increase my points, there is no need for reading or answer. But it would be a good idea to give em thanks and stars in order to increase my points much more, right!? If someone wants to get in the first places he has to be more active. I know that this means that some users will be always in the first places, but this is because they deserve it. The post is really impressed me, it is a philosophical expression of nature of a competition. This is truly fair that the most active users gain More points and better rank in the list. fritz Diamond Member Joined: 10/7/2005 Last visit: 11/6/2024 Posts: 3026 Rating: (1055)	Dear all to begin with, even though the amount of unnecessary "chatter" does increase in every Premium Campaign, the Campaign does achieve what it sets out to do. As for improvements,I like to take up an idea/proposal that IBN-Serviceessentially started some years ago when he suggested to make it possible to donate the premiums to a charitable organisation. The reasons (excuses?) for not implementing this were given as of practical/logistics manner. To overcome this and to allow Siemens to be a good corporate Citizen, here isidea on what to implement for next years Premium Campaign: 1.) Instead of a "lottery" Camcorder price for every 250 Premium points that one achieves,250 EURO's are accruedin the users name. At the end of the Campaign, Siemens will donate the money that each user accrued to a non for profit charity of the userschoice (alternatively, Siemens sets up a list of supportable charities that the users can pick from to avoidarguments about the "charitable character" of the chosen charity). 2.) Ideally as an addition to theabove (alternatively instead of theabove), the first10 placed at the end of the Campaign get 10000, 9000, 8000 --> 1000 EURO to donate. What do you say Siemens? We all help and support each other here which is great and this is the place to be as faras Siemens Automation related technical issues are concerned (alsolargely due to the work you Moderators do here, which often goes unnoticed). This is however THEopportunityfor Siemens to extend the reach of the Forum and to help those in real need (while we continue to help those who have the luxury toworry about how to format an MCC, connect a Drive to an S7, convert an S5 etc. etc.). Additionally, a nicely formatted "Siemens Technical Support Forum's Premium Campaign" Newsletter with pictures in it about the handover of the cheque's to thecharity organisation would show off Siemens as a good corporate citizen and should attract more users to this Forum. All up, its a ""win/win/win" situation for Siemens, the users here and those less fortunate than us. P.S: Excuses like "we don't have a couple of 10000 EURO's left in our budget"are not acceptable as an answer (and I can not think of any other reasons tonot implement this).

I fully agree and appriciate you if this kind of idea is implemented here in future. But I am afraid (according to my understanding for financials), the idea of the premium campaign is exactly to increase the activity and popularity of the forum, like a way for some kind of support, in order the Siemens managment to increase the budget...The most important thing is to have some results and then to ask more money. Also is true the sentence:you should give in order to receive more after. Best regards, Hristo MIhalev

MM1234 Posts: 270 Rating: (53)	I could just sign under the recent posts of fritz and UMENCHO (that could be an idea for a new feature). No matter what the scale would be, if it would be €1 per premium point to give for top10, or €10 or €100 or any other amount given on any other principle, this would be an ultimate feature of the premium campaign. As it has been mentioned many times before, this forum is about help. Helping yourself to enlarge the knowledge or solve your problem, helping others to solve their problems. I didn't really manage to help many people here so far, though, there has been a few (well, at leaste one I am sure ) and honestly, travelling bag or a raffle ticket for a cam recorder are nice stuff, they surely are, but nothing is a better reward than solving someone's problem and then getting a positive response from that very person, or even others. When you look at some people here, you see the guy has 300 stars, 2000 posts, he's a premium expert, platin member or so, you say to yourself wow, that's pretty cool, this person is really dedicated. But imagine reading one's profile and seeing that in last two campaigns, this guy earned €3.5k for poor children somewhere, so they can study. Now there you would go like omg, I want to be as awesome as this guy is! Or girl, even. What I am trying to say is, that as far as I understand humans, they tend to consider such things as charity as good and it even attracts them, as long as they don't have to put their money in (in most cases, imo) and it could really make even great publicity and attract people, asmentioned in earlier post. Anyway, enough of my blabbering, I got pulled into my writing, as usual. What I wanted to say is: Thank you IBN-Service and fritzfor this honorable and awesome ideayou guys had/brought back, even if it doesn't get implemented, the intention counts!

We agree with this, but now each user, who want to ask a question during campaign must pay 1€ or 10€ or 100€ for each question. This money will be divided between premium places." What do you think about this way? I find it VERY counterproductive to say the least and NOT in the interest of those whoI had in mind of helping. People will simply post their questions in another forum or not ask question at all,as it will also create an administrative overheadI am hopeful thatSiemens willignore thisidea. No problems though with Siemens making a "donation" button available during thecampaign where users can donate additionally to the overall sum made available by Siemens.
