FM350-1 compatibility

Carlet Posts: 34 Rating: (2)	Hi to all I have a PLC S7300 with a counter module FM 350-1 type 6ES7 350-1AH01-0AE0. The question is: is it possible to change this module with a FM350-1 type 6ES7 350-1AH03-0AE0 without modifing and downloading the hardware configuration? Thanks.

Hi, I found some information about this, see New S7-300 CPUsand FM 350-1: New Version with New Order No.. According to that information there is a possibility thata problem can occur when useing an old CPU and a new FM350-1. If your FM350-1 is defective then my advise is to have it repaired at e.g. a Siemens Repair Centre. You shouldalso see this linkabout extra functionality in the newer modules. Also is mentioned that there is a possibility that you have to change your software.
