This program has examples for Contiuous, Step and Pulse control. The manual SIMATIC PID Temperature Control, which is also installed with Step 7, references the sample programs. The example programs include a process simulation block, PROC_(S,C, or P). Another resource is the book, Controlling with SIMATIC by J. Mueller Bill

RX100 Posts: 53 Rating: (0)	Hi, I am new to PLC Programming, I am trying to simulate a furnace temperature control system. Now, The standard PID blocks in Siemens Library are a bit confusing to me. I want to use FB41 as my PID block, but there is also an FB58 which is called as T_Cont. Which block shall I use for controlling FB41 or FB58? I have also come across the sample program for Temperature PID control, but cannot use it. I am trying to copy the sample process simulation block which is FB100 from the examples into my program and control it with FB41. Please tell me if what I am doing is right and if not whats the easiest way to do this. Many Thanks
