I am having field pg M ( 6ES7712-0AA01-0AE5). It showing OPERATING STATION NOT FOUND text in display. By using the recovery CD i am not able to install the OS. I doubt that hard disk failure. Advise me how to check the Hard disk healthy in PG.

Can i use external harddisk ? if yes give some ideas

Hi DS SURESH KUMAR;

If you are worried about the hard disk, why do not you unmount the hard disk connect it to another PC and check it if it is operating or not?

Replace the old hard disk to SSD and enjoy an unbelievable increase of speed!

And like already said, an easy way to check out if HD is OK is to test it with another PC.

Remember, if HD is damaged, your licenses are lost also.

But you can contact Siemens to get other licences instead of lost. 

You should have the hard copy licence that come with PG.

I had a Siemens web site corrupt my computer's boot drive setting and told it to boot to my 2nd HD which is not installed.  Upon restart my laptop said OS not found just like yours.

Try booting into BIOS and change the boot device to the correct one.

You can download some free tools that boot (via usb/dvd) and are able to check the HDD.

It "could" be banally the MBR corrupted, in that case all data is recoverable

Then get a new HDD and start to install the Siemens Software.

You will need to contact Siemens to recover the lost licenses in the crashed HDD.
