HART signal module (331-7TF01-0AB0) is posting parameter assignment errors When adding a 331-7TF01-0AB0 signal module to a PCS 7 system parameter assignment errors may post for all the modules channels. How do I clear them? Solution Hardware parameter setup for a 331-7T01 HART AI signal module includes adding a jumper between pins 10 - 11 if the channel types are 2-wire devices. If 4-wire devices are configured, then the 10 to 11 jumper is not needed when using the standard signal module termination connector. Using an MTA changes that setup. When using a standard terminal block all channels will post "Parameter assignment error" for the HART signal module (diagnostic interrupt on signal module) if the default parameters for the HART AI module are used and you are using 2-wire devices. Note: When using 2-wire devices you have to place a jumper between the reserved terminals 10 and 11 (from – http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/22063748). Once you changed the module measuring types to 2DMU (2-wire transducer), compile and download hardware changes, the signal modules diagnostic interrupts clear. If an MTA (6ES7650-1AA61-2XX0) assembly is being used, then the "Measuring Type" designation must be configured as 4DMU (4-wire transducer). The MTA itself has settings for source (4-wire transducer) or supply (2-wire transducer), so the signal module setup must be left at the default 4-wire transducer.
