HMI remote firmware update failed

TP700 has changed its default name HMI_1 to cp7bootce Is there any way to resume update? IPs used ET200S CPU/router 192.168.0.1 TP 700 192.168.0.2 TS basic IE 192.168.0.35 TP700 message Version 01.00.41.00 MAC 00-0B-0B-68-06-94 Update of operating system and reset to factory settings initiated by the user. Please update the operating system with reset to factory settings. Panel is waiting 1.0 minutes for updates.

I did manage to reset to factory settings through Teleservice, On line diagnostics, reset. not through TIA. But when I try to "update operating system" 1. with start search I get a message "scanning and information retrieval completed. 1 problem found." 2. when I try to Update, I get a message: Extended Download to device 0132:000002 Connection failed the selected target could not be reached. Can I do something with that?

Please update the operating system with reset to factory settings. Panel is waiting 1.0 minutes for updates. I come to a conclusion that factory reset cannot be performed with teleservice TS adapter basic IE with dialup, but only via USB or Ethernet connection.

K!ke Posts: 1299 Rating: (136)	Hello, with "reset to factory settings" you can also update the firmware if you choose the current image version in prosave. Why do you use the TS Adapter if you can see the panel? K!ke

It was not possible with TS Adapter IE basic and dialup modem. Even through the accesible nodes, where there is a reset button. I cannot access the screen (it is located in another country at clients site), but the operator provided the screen information. The only way now is to ask clients personnel to perform a factory reset through prosave. I do not understand why a factory reset is not possible with teleservice, but only with ethernet or usb connection. I would like to know if the TS adapter IE advanced(VPN)was used instead, would it be possible to perform a factory reset?

K!ke Posts: 1299 Rating: (136)	Hello, I didn't try it with the teleservice adapter so far. But with a VPN (Softnet Security Client on myEngineering PC) I updated the firmware successfully. I didn't notice any differences between the remote download and direct download... K!ke
