Hello aylut dalfidan; You appear to be woking with a Step 7 v5.5 software, which allows you to program in LAD/FDB/STL. To add other programming languages you need to have Step 7 v5.x Professional. Siemens offers trial versions of the recent versions of step 7, so programmers can get used to the newer functions of the software before they purchase. But there are no loger download links for step 7 v5.5 Professional, as it is now discontinued and replaced by newer versions. There are trial versions of Step 7 v5.7 Professional, which will gve you a fully functional runtime for 21 days, at no cost. After 21 days youa re expected to purchase the full license. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ca/en/view/109796156 Howerver, if you install the V5.7 trial license in parallel to your step v5.5 license but do not wish to purchase a new license at this time,be careful wen you save your v5.5 program once it is open in v5.7 Professional. It would then be automatically rebuilt as a V5.7 program, and your old license will not be able to open it anymore. You would have to purchase the v5.7 Professional license, which you were trying to avoid... Sve the v5.5 project under a new name as a V5.7 professional project. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |

Hello redsky; You do not open an SCL file the same way as you do a LAD program. You must create an SCL source, write your program, and compile the source into an S7 function. You should also study the SCL manual, of course., for the best information. https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ca/en/view/1137188 Hope this helps, |
