How to change presets on HMI and transfer them to HSC?

You can use a simple HMI button that toggles a PLC bool tag.  If the tag is true, change value to 1.  If the tag is false, change to 0.

IO Fields work great for revising presets on the HMI.  Associate IO field with PLC tag that gets used for HSC updates.

Last thing you want is a button that says "Update HSC Module" or something like that.  That way, the PLC gets a trigger signal that all HSC values have been updated from the HMI and can be used to update the module.

If you do not know how to do what I just said, review Siemens online tutorials on HMI configuration.  Should get you going pretty quickly.

I´m using the LPD how you suggest and it´s working correctly, but I can´t find how change the comparator values 0 and 1. In my case, I need to change these presets on HMI and transfer them to HSC, but I don´t know how.

Are you asking how to use the CTRL_HSC block on S7-1200 PLCs?  Oh, I see you have an S7-1500 PLC system so you need the counter card's configuration logic.

My recommendation is to search the online support site for documentation for your specific module doing the HSC's, and search for Siemens FAQs and sample projects showing how to do the tasks you need to do for your specific project.

I think what you have already done is get the vales into the PLC using IO fields and/or buttons on an HMI screen.  What you really want to do is update the HSC configuration once the PLC detects the HMI generated configuration request.

The topic does not say - at least to me.

Have you downloaded the manual for the counter module you are using?

Is it possible to configure the counter input for frequency and just leave it that way? Or is that not a good solution for your specific problem?

Einstein, thanks for your cooperation, but I'm thinking you misunderstood my question.

By default, HSC module opens the channels 0 to 3 on counting mode with preloaded values on "comparison value 0" (by default: 0) and "comparison value 1" (by default: 10).

I would like to know how modify this values and loading two presets : PLC tags coming from HMI I/O field data on screen .

In my case, this two adjustable values will set the counter output in order to control the start/stop of a frequency converter. The operator changes manually this values during operation.
