How to control PTO and PWM in 1511c-1PN?

Hello everyone, I have some questions about PTO and PWM in CPU 1511c-1PN.

Following is my hardware list with software TIA portal V14 sp1:

1. CPU 1511c-1PN
2. TM PTO 4
3. A  driver that accept pulse to driver a step motro, both them are not a siemens product(not V90)
4. I don't have any external encoder which collects axis information(no feedback to CPU)
5. Two omron proximity sensors used as hard switch

So my first question is:

It aware of  me that that with that encoder or V90 missing, i may not use the PTO function either at 1511c or TM PTO4, can I directly manipulate PTO signals without the MOTION CONTROL mechanism? (Best if I can embed PTO into PID control)

My secnod question is:

If the PTO method goes fail,  I think maybe the 1511's PWM(or frequency) method can be applied to control the step motor driver, I think I can generate a 50%-duty PWM  signals to replace the PTO.

according to the manual, I have:

1. Direct control of the pulse output (DQA)
2. Section 3.2.3.1 of the manual say there is a control interface influences the behavior of the PWM channel
3. A set of commands such as TM_CTRL_DQ, SW_ENABLE and so on.

I'm really sorry but  I  CAN'T find where to interact with these commands, how can I process 1511's PWM in my program ? Is there some 'CTRL_PWM' instructions I can use like in 1200?
