How to do position synchronize 2 axis on vertical movement ?

Dear Expert,

I use SINAMICS V90 2 Axis on vertical movement I use S7-1215C PLC.

I would like to control V90 2 Axis synchronize move in vertical on ball screw.

How to do position synchronize 2 axis on vertical movement ?  

Which command I have to use to control 2 axis move together move up down +/-0.5 mm at a time?

Hi, 

the standard functionality for "synchronous" operation is part of the S7-1500 PLCs (TO synchronous axis), not S7-1200. 

With S7-1200 you can do positioning movements with your drives (either EPOS or TO Positioning axis). So from your PLC program you will need to do the synchronization in an applicative way by starting the positioning of both drives at the same time with the same dynamics -> this would lead to a synchronous movement. Then you can also check both axes' position and check the deviation and react accordingly to it.

You would configure the 2 V90s with IRT telegram 105 for isochronous communication.

One of the drives would be connected to a TO Positioning axis -> this is the master and you simply perform the positioning instructions with that drive. (MC_MoveRelative, MC_MoveAbsolute, MC_MoveJog,....)

The other drive is connected to a TO Synchronous axis -> this is the slave and just by activating the MC_GearIn command it will follow the master's movement wherever it will go ;) Of course you can also move both axes independently if you want. The synchronous axis also has all functions of a normal positioning axis.

2. use a CAM and sync on setpoint or actual values.

please check the attachment. InSync output status bit of MC_GearInPos is telling you master and slave are actually synchronized: i.e. the synchronus operation is going on.

Bit StartSync is telling you that the slave has begun synchornization phase, but synchronus operatio  has not yet been reached (this is a transient condition to the desired steady state of sync)
