How To Firmware Update V1.4.x

Hi all,

We currently released our new firmware version V1.4.4 for all IOT2050 (PG1 & PG2). It can be downloaded on our Downloads Page.

• It's recommended to use the newest Firmware Version for Example Image V1.4.x on the following devices
  • IOT2050 Basic (6ES7 647-0BA00-0YA2) FS:01 – FS:05
  • IOT2050 Advanced (6ES7 647-0BA00-1YA2) FS:01 – FS:09
  • IOT2050 M.2 (6ES7647-0BB00-1YA2) FS:01 – FS:04
    
  • IOT2050 SM (6ES7 647-0CA00-1AA2) FS:01 & FS:02 will be delivered with firmware version >V1.4 - we also recommend an update to the latest version
• The newest Firmware Version V1.4.4 includes the fix for the reboot issue so we recommend everyone to update their device!
• Version V1.4.3 includes a workaround for the reboot issue -> we recommend directly to go to V1.4.4

Please notice:

• After the update to firmware version V1.4.x it is not possible to boot Example Image V1.0.2 and Industrial OS V2.X
• Firmware version 1.4.x is also compatible with Example Image V1.1.1, V1.2.2 and V1.3.1
• Firmware version V1.1.1 or higher is required for the update to V1.4.x
• For the moment we recommend the to use the latest Example Image V1.4.x for the firmware-update
• The firmware-update is also possible with Example Image V1.1.1, V1.2.2 & V1.3.1 (see instructions for compatible firmware-update-tool)
