How to reset the password in s7 1200 1214c DCDCRLY

Hi Sir

we have a CPU S7 1200 1214C DC/DC/DC with password . and we forget password on it.

so we have a Memory card 12 MB -6ES7954-8LE03-0AA0.

can i reset password according to following steps?

1-turn on CPU power supply

2. Insert MMC card 12 MB

3. Wait until third LED from RUN starts blinking

4. Turn off and turn on power supply

After that load a new program on it

or can i reset factory for deleted password and loading program again?

Hi,

the card 6ES7954-8LE03-0AA0 is correct.

But the card must be empty, and as addition, the card must be configured as "Transfer" Card, as mentioned in FAQ above, otherwhise it will not work.

You can also have a look at this chapter in the manual, in my opinion it is described well.

-> delete existing data es mentioned in the manual, but do not delete hidden files

-> configure the card as Transfer Card, as mentoined in the manual (up to/including step 4.)

-> use the empte transfer card, as mentioned at the end of the chapter
