Hi abbasisahab, the programmer used to have a replaceable 9V block battery inside it and you could replace the batteries by unscrewing the face of the programmer. This all changed for legacy products around 20 years ago. Since then programmers are not user serviceable as the battery inside is fully potted in both the IS and non-IS versions of the programmer. You can tell how old your programmer is by turning it over and looking for a screw head in the middle hole, if there is none then the programmer is not designed to be opened. The programmer was updated around 2015 and is slightly smaller and has a user serviceable CR2032 battery inside. The "new" programmer has the part number A5E36563512 and replaces all of the following programmer models: 7ML1830-2AA, -2AB, -2AC, -2AD, -2AE, -2AF, -2AG, -2AK, -2AL, -2AM and -2AN. Each key on the infrared programmer sends the same infrared signal regardless of the overlay applied. Attached is an overlay reference document that might help - although the 2AD is not shown - the last page shows you the remaining programmers. Hope that this helps!
