If I were to change the OSC into a ES/OSC what changes/ downloads would I require.

Phantom75 Posts: 2661 Rating: (279)	You need to install the PCS7 Engineering System software (along with appropriate licenses). This mainly consists of STEP7, WinCC and PCS7 tools (like CFC etc.). The OSC will have the WinCC already installed so this will not be installed. Regards

CBo Gold Member Joined: 4/5/2006 Last visit: 12/4/2024 Posts: 917 Rating: (63)	Hi girlengin, did you moved all development license from ES to your new ES/OSC? could you post a screenshot with installed license in automation license manager? are you using special library/SW in your project? (like PDM or CEMAT or ...) RMC on the project in Simatic Manager -> Object Properties -> Requiered SW Package it will show you if some SW is missing regards

The upgrade licenses are not automatically recognized by PCS7 and hence the trial licenses got activated. You can “convert” the old licenses to new in ALM using the upgrade option…

girlengin Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hey, Its not an upgrade. I added a ES to a PCS7 system where the original ES was removed. I had the program archive. So estientially I was building from scratch a ES. There were no original licenses. Attached is the screenshot of the licences I have. The part numbers they came on were 6ES7658-5AF17-0YA5 & 6ES7650-1CD07-2YB5. I was give these by our supplier when I asked what we needed to create a ES I have all the required software installed Attachment licences.JPG (67 Downloads)

There is no separate "PCS7" license,rather license for each component. The PCS7 trial license is for all components and once activated this will expire in 14 days. But you should to be able to use the system even after the 14 days because of the "real" licenses... Regards
