Indirect Array addressing

I have red the note about searhing the FAQ's and other forum threads and have drawn a blank as it would appear others have regarding this topic.
I have a similar experience and problem to another forum member who has experience of indirect addressing in AB Control Logix and I am asking an identical question: -

I am writing a block in SCL to calculate an average of a number of results. To do this I have a number (int, lets call it ‘eMax’) that will represent the number of values I want to average and a counter (also int, lets call it ‘i’) to represent how many results (from the total) ih have collected. I am having a bit of a problem when it comes to sizing an array using the values I have, see explanation below: -

Array declaration in SCL

VAR_TEMP

Data:ARRAY[1..eMax] of DINT;

END_VAR

The declaration above causes an compile error beacause of eMax being used in the array declaration. Does anyone know how I can declare an array of different size dynamically?

Then in my counting loop: -

Data[i]:= myValue;

This should put the data from myValue into array element Data[i] where i is the element number. For some reason this does not work either, again does anybody know how to dynamically access an array element?

The reset of the code would be simple as long as I can get the indirect addresing working correctly.

I want to see the solution, if someone has got the answer,

because in stl normally you can not use date[i] in array but you need to use indirect addressing (as i know) i mean you need to read totally indirectly, so if you want to use counter in an array you need to point it with a pointer.

for ex: L DBW [AR1,P#52.0] with ar or DIX [DBD 2]

but you can not write the name of variable in paranthesis..

FOR this normally you can not use such programming in scl too because it can not compile the code to stl.

and i think you can not specify not value array, i mean like date[0..i] it must be variable but these all only my ideas.

as solution : i write my codes in stl, with indirect addressing (s7 help describe it very very good) and i give a very big value for my such arrays in this way program always works just places too much sapce sometimes..
