Install STEP 7 5.5 SP3 on Windows 10

Just recently i changed my laptop with new one. previously i was using Step 7 V5.5 SP1 which is compatible with windows 7 now in my new laptop there is windows 10. the step 7 V5.5 Sp1 is not compatible with windows 10, so i need to install step 7 software. please guide me, from where and how i can install.?

on Windows 10 no way.

Step V5.x is not released and compatible with Win10.

If you will install it like described in the many post above do it, but is on you own risk!

The method with resource modification and .ini file modification works.

i did install step 7 v5.5 SP4 on win 10 using this method.

Does Windows 10 Home Edition work?

STEP 7 V5.6 will support Windows 10.

PLEASE update your info to say that one needs to find in Notepad everything that says en-US and replace with your local language, like da-DK, in the install.bat file. Otherwise it won't work.

Also you need to get this file and replace it with the one in the folder with the install.bat file.

Please use the x64 helpfile from XP (only one that works).

Was a long trip but finally everything works and I can finally  simulate two plc's to communicate with each other and go online on PLC's remotely via a AnyConnect VPN! Awesome!
