Installation of STEP 7 Professional 2006 on vista

dalailamas Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi guys, I try to install step 7 professional 2006 on vista,but i can`t.The program says this version is not compatible with windows vista.I can`t understand how to install it.Can anyone please help me????

dalailamas Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Late, my version is step 7 professional sr1.the point is that the thread you mentioned says that you must have installed the step 7 and then you must install the update for vista.when i try to install it(the version above not a service pack) i get a message that this is not compatible version

The other softwarepartsof STEP7 Professional have to be downloaded and installed separately. Therefore the link Spät provides us are very useful.

Late Platinum Expert Joined: 1/7/2006 Last visit: 12/23/2024 Posts: 2705 Rating: (320)	Dear Dalailamas, Smurf has right, you have to install first STEP7 V5.4 SP3 (that is an hole version...) and then you might install V5.4 SP3.1, that is not necessary for VISTA. Smurf, Thank you for the answer.

dalailamas Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi guys, I finally managed to install the program and thank you for the instructions,but i have one last problem to solve.I don`t know how to install the PG/PC interface.Can anyone tell me how to do this or give me a link because i can`t understand it.I`d like to mention that i want to use step 7 only in one computer and not in a network.I say that because i think that this PG/PC interface is for networking systems.If i`m wrong tell me.Thx!!

That is also a question that I have, by me the Ethernet communication over LAN and WLAN where perfectly found by STEP7/VISTA but the PROFIBUS/MPI port is not installed right... I will ask this question to Siemens, when I got a answer I will inform you also.

Kenneth Verheggen Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	I am having simular problems... I have set the compatibilitymode of the installer to "xp service pack2", but I can't seem to install it on vista itself...
