It's impossible to install the "DP master interface module" on the IM151-8.

worldleader Posts: 22 Rating: (1)	Hello, everybody!! Now, I'm configuring my hardware components with online Simatic selection tool that is supplied from A&D mall to suggest my customer. But, I have one problem. The thing is that it's not possible for me to install DP master interface module(6ES7138-4HA00-0AB0) with IM151-8PN/DP CPU. The manual certainly says that it can be used with 'IM 151-7 CPU' OR 'IM 151-8 PN/DP (ET200S)'. How come I can't install it on IM151-8 and which thing is right, possible or impossible?

That is a problemin theSIMATICSelectiontool. Don't get annoyed.

The DP Master module can be connected with the IM151-8 CPU. You can checkthe samein either Catalogs or Brochures or Manual (Operating Instruction of ET200S: CPU/IM 151-8 PN/DP) or any of the below
- Function of the IM 151-8 PN/DP CPU interface module
- Properties of the IM 151-8 PN/DP CPU interface module
- Properties of the DP master module
Finally a configuration example for you with PROFIBUS DP Master module with CPU 151-8 PN/DP

①	IM 151-8 PN/DP CPU interface module	⑦	Reversing starter
②	DP master module	⑧	Terminating module
③	PM-E power module for electronic modules	⑨	Power bus
④	Electronic modules	⑩	TM-P terminal module for PM-D power modules
⑤	PM-D power module for motor starters	⑪	TM-E terminal modules for electronic modules
⑥	Direct starters	⑫	TM-P terminal modules for PM-E power modules

Example configurations

Let's communicate this to Siemens.
