Long term availability of S7-mEC hardware

make_it_move Posts: 25 Rating: (1)	Hi, We have to choose between a system based on a S7-1500F cpu or EC31 RTXF cpu. One of the important factors may be the longterm availability of the system. E.g.: can we buy the same hardware after 10 years? Or can we buy at least some equivalent hardware? I know the S7-1500F will have longer availability. But how long is it and how long will it be for the EC31 RTXF?

However, newest version ofEC31-RTX F is in delivery release cycle, and that means that you will be able to get spares/repairs for 6-10 years approx. Please see dates below: EC31-RTX F - depends on order number, please see thislink. For oldest version time from delivery release date to product discontinuation was 7 years. Newest one was released in2010-10-14 ForS7-1500F delivery release was listed from2014-03-10 Hope it helps.
