MAC S7 Connection

thidalgo Posts: 68 Rating: (0)	Hello, I've configured an S7 Connection on the OPC-Server towards an S7-PLC. Itworks perfectlyestablishing the linkusing IP Addresses. But,configuring the linkwith MAC addresses it doesn't work. Any special settings for "over MAC Address" linksare required ?

For thepossibilitiesof the CP's for the S7-300 and the S7-400 I want to point out two different FAQ's. What differences exist in the 300-series Ethernet CPs? What differences exist in the SIMATIC S7-400 series Ethernet CPs? For what to be changed. Just exchange the module in the hardware configuration and create an ISO-Connection in NetPro. Then you must be able to getcommunication/program your communication.

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, well, both CP are able to handle ISO Transport Connections, to tell you the truth the BX00 CP is actually the ISO Transport CP at all, this CP is not able to do TCP or any IP Protocol. If you configure the Connection in the PC Station you simply select the ISO Transport Connection, that's it... actually. I hope I could help you with this information. Best regards J_Bell
