Master License(s)

Greetings All,

I am troubleshooting an OS client and I have to reconfigure it from scratch. So before doing that, I need to transfer all the license(s) from the OS to the original license USBs.

But the issue I am facing, is that i can not transfer the licenses that are in Master License(s) folder.

Can any one please help me with the description of why is it happening or if these licenses will be installed again automatically with the installation of Simatic Wincc v 7.2.

Hi,

A master license cannot be removed or transferred. It is installed with the package (like Simatic Logon) when you install the software. 

It will reappear when you install the necessary components on your new PC
