Dear All I am using a S7-300 CPU With Simovert Masterdrive MC-Plus V 1.6 for a simple positioning control application. I have configured the PLC and drive based on the Details provided in the earlier thread " Master Drive MC and CPU 315-2DP for Postioning/Angle" The Simovert MC is basically moving a conveyor, another Encoder is mounted on the conveyor for actual position feedback. We are using SBM card for Motor Encoder Feedback and a SBP card for Machine Encoder feedback The drive is connected to S7-300 over Profibus for Speed and Position setpoints and control as well as feedbacks. When I configure the system for position feedback using Motor Encoder the system is working perfectly fine in speed as well as Positioning modes. When I modify the parameters for changing over to Machine Encoder feedback, the drive runs properly in speed mode, however on switching to positioning mode, when we give a position setpoint ( Relative positioning ) and trigger positioning, the drive runs at a very high speed and trips on DC Bus overvoltage. I have checked and re-checked all parameters, but cannot find theproblem. What am I doing wrong ? The Drivemonitor DNL file forboth configurations are attached. Can someone help me please Best Regards Navnag AttachmentMC_Drivemonitor_Files.zip (514 Downloads) |

Dear Navnag, i think you are using basic positioner for the application. i have gone through your program there are simple mistakes in that. the below mentioned parameters to be set for machine encoder. go through the attached configuration Follow the function diagram 788 if any doubt please call +91 98111 75931 mail : biroj.nayak@siemens.com AttachmentMC_FeedRollWoking2702.zip (558 Downloads) |
