Measure 25A with 3UG4622 sirius

fishingman Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have an automatic test bench and i have the Sirius 3UG4622 to monitoring the current in my Load (Test of ON/OFF switch). The sirius can measure 15A maximum, but i need to upgrade my test bench to measure25 A of active current if possible. I looked for another type of sirius that can measure this current but i have not found. Can you advise me wich type of sirius can i use? If it's not possible, can I use a current transformer with the 3UG4622? what do you recommend? Thanks

fishingman Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello, Thanks for your response. You recommend using a current transformer before the Sirius module to minimize the image injected into the Sirius. But I need to know if this transformer can modify the decision of the Sirius module or not? I need to reprogram my Sirius module or just I include the transformer before the monitoring relay? Another question please; when testing, we have a short high current (6* Active current) during 100ms. This current can damage the transformer? Thanks a lot.

LesPaul Posts: 467 Rating: (59)	hello, Yes, you have to reprogram the 3UG4622 according the secondary current of the CT.We think, the short high current is not a problem for the CT, but we are not the specialist for CT’s. kind regards LesPaul

fishingman Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello, I chose to modify all the structure of my test bench. I will change the Current monitoring to Voltage monitoring. I chose the module 3UG4632 but i need to Know if it's limitated in current (I need 25 A in nominal). Thanks for your response
