gre_m Posts: 947 Rating: (45)	Profinet is based on Ethernet, Profinet so active devices can implement all Ethernet protocols - UDP, TCp / IP (and correspondingly Modbus / TCP). If the other device supports the Profinet-slave, then you need GSDL-file. In this case, you must add the device to a directory (as well as for GSD Profibus) and configure the system for master-slave Profinet

But you will need the programming software of the Saia-Burgess controller to configure the Profibus link. Look it up on the forum, there have been some threads on the subject (use the search box at the right of this page). If you have doubts to clear up, contacts Saia-Burgess directly.
