Need Remote access to S5-CPU948 to send and recieve a bit/acknowledge?

Hello Expert,

I need a Remote (wireless) communication unit for S5-155U with CPU948 to Receive a warning bit and then a button on the unit to acknowledge it.

I don't know if this action is doable and if it is what I need.

Just a brief of our controller:

We are using a S5-155U unit with CPU948 (Picture attached) with the Hardware

- CPU948

- 6ES5544-3UA11 (2 * units for 2 Simatic PC)

- 6ES55242-1AA32 (3 * units of IP242A High Speed Counters)

- Interbus-S IBS S5 DCB/I-t

- Some inputs and Outputs Card

- IM308-C ( 2 * units for Profibus Communications, 1 for OP37's and 1 for Remote I/O's)

S5 is history.

However, you should consider using an external device/controller with I/O and connect it to your S5.

There are small compact devices with limited number of I/O sending SMS,email or whatsever and can receive commands to control outputs.

I believe such device will do the job
